Acupuncture Testimonials
I started going to Isaac for painful carpal tunnel which would keep me awake at night. He said it would take a few treatments to feel relief. I've been keeping appointments for about 2 and a half years and haven't had any substantial pain in a long time now. I will keep maintenance visits as I never want to have that pain again. Isaac is awesome!

This is my first experience with acupuncture. I use it for HBP (high blood pressure) and it really helps keep things at bay. I also use it for Gerd and other aches, pains or conditions. I am a firm believer in Chinese medicine and feel strongly you have to be comfortable with it and be totally open to the process in order to gain full benefit.

I am totally happy with Mended Roots! Asked for help with sciatic nerve problem and after 2 visits, it disappeared and never came back! And that was 2 years ago! Also, complained about my TMJ and Isaac helped me with that and it is now under total control! Don't even hesitate to visit....and he listens! Absolutely recommend him to anyone!

I have much experience w/ acupuncture having been licensed myself. Isaac is a great acupuncturist w/ excellent needle technique, you barely feel the needles at all. He also is knowledgeable about Chinese herbs which augment the acupuncture treatment and can help resolve many conditions. Do yourself a favor and don't hesitate to give Isaac a call.

After a not so great first impression of acupuncture at another practice, I wasn't sure if this was for me. Isaac completely changed my mind and has helped me alot with my chronic back/neck pain and headaches. I highly recommend going here if you are curious about acupuncture or other alternative chinese treatments.

Meditation Class Testimonials

I discovered Mended Roots quite serendipitously, as I met their meditation instructor, Hugh Muffoletto, at a concert at the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley. We happened to be seated at the same table, and during a discussion we had while waiting for the band to play, I learned about Hugh’s background and experience in Qigong and other Eastern meditation practices and traditions. Impressed with all that I heard, I took the chance and attended one of his classes; my only regret is that I didn’t join his program sooner.
Hugh is an excellent teacher; his classes are well-paced and very informative, and there is a true community feel to the program among its participants. He provides a thoughtful, balanced approach to meditation, mixing specific techniques with contextual information as well as theory, and how the benefits and healing power of meditation translate clinically. Hugh’s penchant to share all that he has learned in his more than 30 years’ experience in the study of a broad cross-section of Eastern mediation, mindfulness as well as martial arts practicums, is evident. He takes great pains to make the classes relevant to each of the class participants and acts as a guide to help each of us learn how to apply specific learnings from the various practicums he’s mastered for our own self-healing and personal betterment. I encourage anyone who is looking to quiet their "monkey brain," lower their overall levels of stress or explore ways of self-healing to give yourself the gift of Hugh’s class. You will not regret it.
